Why you should read this book?

💡Ferris is the second Kyiosaki. The only difference is that he is advising his readers on work / life balance ratio and not investments.

💡It gives you some very healthy tips on how to manage your time more effectively, by focusing only on what is important.

💡Provides you with countless tips on how to live abroad, work from home and manage your own business / work.

,,Do not spend time to earn money to impress people you do not like.” - You probably have heard this quote before, did you know it comes from this book? I bet I have now your attention…

My very first impression of this book? Wow. Just fucking wow! I loved the energy in this book. It is going to be my second Bible after Kyiosaki’s Rich and Poor Dad.

Basically, most of us consume media on daily basis. Media are trying to scare us and convince us that the world is going under. But books like this just give you all the juice you need. In reality, there is no scarcity, there are even no limits. Those limits are created in our own minds.

For a quite a long time I’m having a problem to find a decent job in the Czech Republic. Everybody thinks that they can pay me 1/2 of what I can get in Germany while the costs of living in the Czech Republic are the same as in Germany and expect me to put regular 9 to 5 hours. I’m like fuck that shit. I’m not going to work for anybody, who cannot pay me properly and who would not appreciate my strong parts and all the things I can do which others cannot.

The 4-hour workweek just destroys the idea of 9 to 5 life-sentence. While reading this book I felt: Ferris thinks like me. He was fired from many jobs. He hates to do stupid work which does not make any sense.

The bosses love to see their employees to work on meaningless, useless tasks. It literally angers me. They also love to see their employees desperate and hopeless while being in work as they want them to see their employees work really hard. But working hard and sitting in the office does not equals productivity and more money.

Say NO to this sort of master / slave relationship at your workplace. Remember, you are no desperate. If you do not like your work or you are being treated badly, you can always quit or start your own business. You can also find a new job, where you are going to get appreciated.

Ferris defines "the new rich" as people who have enough time and money. One without the other is helpless. Many billionaires are billionaires, but do they have some free time? Barely...

I would advise you: define for yourself what the wealth means for you. Is it enough time? I worked in the law firm. Met many lawyers who worked insane amounts of hours, like 16 and more. One had a GF, one had family, the rest was divorced... Is that the life you want to live? Idk, everybody gets to decide what is good, but I knew right away that I never, ever, want to be like those lawyers in the office I worked for. Time is an important asset to me.

Let's say, you work 4 hours a day for 2.000 EUR per month in Prague. Location is vital, because 2.000 EUR in München, Deutschland, is like being paid a pocket money. But if you live in Prague, it is actually okay. You get enough time to do everything you want and not to cry you do not have enough cash to do all the things you want.

Ferris also suggests that people are making excuses to make changes which are vital to their own personal progress. Those people get stuck. But this stuckness is always self-imposed. We say to ourselves that we cannot do anything, but in reality we CAN do everything! Moreover, we always can do something about our dreams. Just never forget it.

The first step is to take the responsibility. Take responsibility for whatever you want to do and your life turns around in no time.

Ferris advised his readers to go on informational diet. By that he means no media access and focusing only on what matters. I liked this idea a lot and I implemented it immediately in my own life.

This book is revolutionary in the way that it actually provides you with the tools to become a free spirited entrepreneur who can work remotely from anywhere around the world!

I loved very detailed description of how to found your own on-line business, save money and not to be stupid. Some of those advises will get old with the book and won't be completely up-to-date for ever, but! The principles stay the same.

“By working faithfully eight hours a day, you may eventually get to be a boss and work 12 hours a day.” – Robert Frost, American poet and winner of four Pulitzer prizes

Ferris also speak about the paradox of today’s society. People are stupid enough to want 9 to 5 regular day job, which barely pays enough to cover the bills. But there are other ways to live. Freely and happily. All you have to do is to think outside of the box.

“When I was younger… I [didn’t] want to be pigeonholed. Basically, now you want to be pigeonholed. It’s your niche.” – Joan Chen, actress; appeared in The last Emperor and Twin Peaks

Be unreasonable in everything! Salary expectations! Your business goals etc.! Basically, if the reward is way too small, it is not worth of the effort. It is like with an ugly girl. If she is ugly and fat and your dick won’t get hard when you look at her, then she is not worth the effort. In that case, you need to find a pretty girl (job opportunity) which motivates you and is worth of your time and effort.
